In this workshop we will discuss different types of flexibility and how different types of training can complicate flexibility. We will learn how to use the Pilates method to truly strengthen flexibility to come closer to uniform development.
Kelli and Kaile grew up together at The Pilates Center. They have been sharing ideas with each other for almost 20 years. Both women exhibit a significant amount of flexibility in their bodies. Each of them coming to Pilates from different movement history, their flexibility presents unique challenges. Kelli is a former highly competitive swimmer and Kaile is a former professional dancer. While being flexible is desired by some and maybe even touted as a sign of health in the fitness industry, being overly flexible can contribute to injuries, joint pain, stomach issues and more.
