As we experienced in the October 2020 workshops, there’s always more to be had, even within the same Pilates practice and even within the same Pilates practitioner.
And this workshop shows how there’s also more to be gained by adding… Reformer exercises on the Mat.
That’s right! We can do a complete Reformer workout on the Mat - no springs, straps, sliding carriage.
Or we can insert individual Reformer exercises into an existing Mat class series for a new challenging and enlightening moment.
Or we can replace Mat exercises with Reformer exercises to highlight and re-enforce a movement skill, etc.
And in this workshop, we will explore how to do all of this. We teachers are always trying to access movement differently so that we can address illusive imbalances and increase the value and results of every exercise. And Mr. Pilates gave us this Reformer-on-the-Mat as another possibility. Plus, it’s so much fun!!
